Engineering Design and Systems Integration Services

Academic Technology Services' staff of engineers design, integrate, install, and project manage the many distributed education platforms, networks, and systems used by Old Dominion University's Office of Distance Learning and Higher Education Centers. These designs focus secondarily on technology and primarily on the instructional needs of faculty, students, and academic programs.These resources are also harnessed to provide similar system design and system integration to partner institutions and corporations:
- Customer needs analysis, risk analysis, solution research and development, and budget estimates,
- Custom designed studios, control rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, and conference rooms,
- Project management of the entire process from ideas on napkins to delivery and ongoing support,
- Installation of videoconferencing, digital video and IP satellite, post-production, and video encoding systems,
- Component level design of industry unique devices and large scale production,
- Design and deployment of comprehensive broadcast facilities and multi-continent Wide Area Networks,
