Conference rooms

25 conference rooms, located in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Suffolk, and Sterling, VA

1 to 1 ratio between teaching instructors and live support technicians

Control room staff are available during all events to take the unproductive guesswork out of distributed education, depositions, meetings, and interviews.

Crestron touchpanel control

LCD touchpanels are provided in very conference room for those who do not require live operation support and to give control of the system to the client.

Samsung 46 & 50" LCD & Plasma displays

These high resolution monitors provide program video and conference return video to participants in the conference room.

Wolfvision document cameras

Overhead cameras are available to capture documents, written notes, spontaneous diagrams, as well zoomed images of devices. Also, these ceiling mounted cameras do not obstruct the view of participants as desktops units do.

Sony 3CCD cameras

These high fidelity cameras are positioned throughout the rooms to view the students and the instructors.

Extron digital switchers/scalers

These new video processors are able to support a wide variety of video formats by converting all sources into the digital domain for processing, and provides special video effects such as Picture in Picture.

Lectrosonics & Mackie audio mixers

These audio production mixers control all audio levels from all of the room's devices and creates 'mixes' of audio signals for the room's speakers, for the videoconferencing codec or streaming encoders, and for recoding onto DVD.

Shure microphones

These microphones are positioned around the conference table to capture and transmit the audio from the conference's participants.These table top microphones have push buttons and can be configured to be 'push to talk' (silent when not in use), or 'push to mute' (open and active unless turn off).

Shure microphone mixers

·All microphones are attached to a Shure microphone mixer that provides power and a line level signal that goes to the main audio production board.Depending on the application, these mixers can be configured for 'auto gating' or automatic control of the rooms microphones without participants having to use the push button on the microphones.

Polycom videoconferencing codecs

Several conference rooms are specially configured for video conferences with dedicated codecs.These rooms are able to participate in dual stream 'people plus content' conferences.

Gateway PC workstations

Presenter workstations are provided in each conference rooms to facilitate participant's presentation content from disc, from the Internet, or from USB drives,

Laptop interface

Participants are able to interface their personal laptops to originate presentations and demonstrate specific software applications.

Sony DVD recorders

All events can be recorded onto DVD and professionally duplicated to provide copies to any number of participants.

Middle Atlantic instructor consoles

The instructor console provides the power and connectivity for the room's major components.
