Community College of the Air Force (CCAF)
Our bachelor's degree completion programs are available in several disciplines, including Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Management, and Nursing. To pursue a bachelor's degree in one of these areas, contact us for more information. CD-ROM and online courses available in some disciplines; all others are video-streamed courses.

DANTES/Troops to Teachers
Troops to Teachers can provide up to $5K for retiring and separating military personnel to get a teaching license and an additional $5K if they teach in a bonus or high-need school for a minimum of 3 years.

Spouses of active duty, drilling reserves, and National Guard personnel can receive up to $600 to pay for licensure tests, such as Praxis series, VCLA, VRA, GRE, etc. No payback of time required in a high-need school.

Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC)
The SOC program provides services to facilitate degree completion at the undergraduate level for military personnel which include evaluation of military schooling for college credit, preparation of degree plans, and transfer of credit among member institutions.
ODU is a member of SOC and each of the following degree networks:

- SOCMAR

Concurrent Admissions Program (CONAP)
Program offers college admission to Army Enlistees upon enlistment into the service. The soldier completes a form entitled "College Referral and Intent to Enroll" stating their intent to enroll during or after enlistment, and apply for admission at the same time as other students, usually 12-24 months before they expect to enter college. The CONAP form is acknowledged by the University and returned to the student.

Veterans Education Benefits
The Office of Military Student Affairs handles all matters pertaining to the use of veterans educational benefits that includes the Montgomery GI Bill and other entitlements. There is also a "top-up" provision for eligible veterans that can be used to pay the difference between tuition and fees not covered by the Montgomery GI Bill and federal tuition assistance.
