About the R.N. to B.S.N Program
Launched in Fall 2005, the online program from Old Dominion's renowned School of Nursing makes it more convenient than ever for nurses to earn their bachelor's degree and still meet the demands of family and work. In addition to working with faculty mentors, students will build a polished professional portfolio, an advantage when seeking employment following graduation.
The post-licensure B.S.N. curriculum is designed for registered nurses who hold an associate's degree in nursing or a hospital diploma, and is particularly convenient for the busy adult learner. Both nationally and state accredited, the BSN program consists of 120 - 126 semester credits:
- 66 credits in the nursing major*
- 54-60 credits in liberal arts and sciences
*Registered Nurses receive 33 of the 66 nursing credits as experiential learning credits - at no cost - after successful completion of the NCLEX-RN and with documentation of a current license to practice.
