Virginia School Library Media Specialist - Online Program

Applications for Cohort 3 for the Online Library Media Specialist program will begin in August, 2007. Applications procedures for this online program are posted on the Library Science web site.

To be eligible for consideration for Cohort 3 in the fall of 2007, you must be:

Licensed as a teacher in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Minimum of Collegiate Professional License)
Seeking endorsement as a school library media specialist (This program is designed to recruit new Library Media Specialists to the profession and is not for individuals who already have an endorsement as an LMS)
Teaching/residing outside Virginia Superintendent's Regional Study Group Region 2, (except for Accomack and Northampton Counties on the Eastern Shore).

Program options include endorsement on a current teaching certificate or endorsement plus master's degree. For more information, visit the Library Science web site.
