Old Dominion University Wins An Accolade

Accolade AwardOld Dominion University has won a prestigious Honorable Mention in Videography from the 2006 Accolade Competition. The award was given for Old Dominion's exciting recruiting video production, "See Yourself in Monarch Blue at ODU," created by ODU's Academic Technology Services unit in the Office of Distance Learning for the Office of Admissions. In winning an Accolade, ODU joins the ranks of other high-profile winners of this internationally respected award.

"The Accolade is not an easy award to win," said Thomas Baker, Ph.D., chair of The Accolade. "Entries are received from around the world. The Accolade helps set the standard for craft and creativity. The judges were pleased with the exceptionally high quality of entries in this year's competition. The goal of The Accolade is to help the winners achieve the recognition they deserve."

The Accolade recognizes film, television and video professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and those who produce standout entertainment or contribute to profound social change.
