Any organizational function requires planning, organizing, leadership and control. Whenever a group of people are involved in goal attainment, management is needed.
This major is designed to develop a student’s understanding of management as both an art and a science along with those administrative skills necessary for positions of leadership and responsibility. Management is a particularly good choice for people who have varied or broad interests and who would like to accomplish tasks through participation with others.

For this program, you will need to be accepted into ODU as a degree-seeking student. Additionally, you will need to apply to the Strome School of Business, which is a two-step process: BSBA Step One (PDF); BSBA Step Two (PDF). Courses required for this admission are ACCT 201, ECON 202S, ENGL 110C, MATH 162M, and BUSN 110 with a grade of C or better in each.
