Maritime, Ports and Logistics Management certificate

The Maritime Institute focuses on the professional continuing education needs of area public agencies and private business employees who comprise the maritime and logistics community. This certificate program allows students who already have a Bachelor’s degree to take four graduate level classes (12 credit hours) in maritime, ports and logistics management without applying for degree status in a Master’s program. A certificate of completion is issued to successful graduates.

Why ODU for Maritime, Ports and Logistics Management?

In research presented at the 2011 Annual Conference of the International Association of Maritime Economists, ODU's maritime business program was ranked 8th in the world in port research over 1980-2009, a 30-year time period.

Curriculum

Four PORT courses (12 credit hours) are required. Core MBA courses are not eligible.

You need a bachelor's degree to apply to this program. You will apply to ODU as a non-degree seeking graduate student.

Online Asynchronous: Access course materials online from any location. These courses require little to no synchronous (same-time) scheduled class meetings, but assignments and exams are scheduled by the instructor. All courses follow ODU's regular academic calendar.
