A minor in marketing can help further a general business career by making you familiar with some of the important issues in marketing.
The course work is designed to teach you about the workings of the marketplace including retailing, personal selling, distribution systems, sales management, advertising and promotion, marketing research, consumer behavior, and strategic marketing.
Required courses in this minor are MKTG 311 Marketing Principles and Problems, plus 12 credit hours (about four classes) of 300 / 400 level MKTG courses.
This minor can only be completed as part of an undergraduate degree from ODU. You will need to be accepted into ODU as an undergraduate degree-seeking student.
All ODU undergraduate distance learning programs are degree completion programs.
