This program is available only to graduates of the U. S. Navy Nuclear Power School or Nuclear Reactor Operator training at Dominion Energy. Eligible Navy ratings are EM (NUC), ET (NUC), and MM (NUC).

Your courses in this program are in areas such as computer-aided drafting, statics, strength of materials, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, automation and controls, and computer solid modeling. Your culminating experience is a senior project that integrates course work with a practical project assignment in your area of interest.

You must select a minor from the College of Engineering & Technology or the College of Sciences. To satisfy the upper-division general education requirements, we recommend a minor in Engineering Management.

Admission Information

All ODU undergraduate distance learning programs are degree completion / transfer programs. For this program, you will need to be accepted into ODU as a degree-seeking student with ENGL 100C credit. You must also have completing U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School or Nuclear Reactor Operator training at Dominion Energy.
