This graduate degree is directed at individuals who are trainers, or wish to become trainers in business, industry, or government. Trainers teach and/or develop curriculum for both technical and job-related skills to adult populations.
This degree will provide graduates with knowledge and skills in the areas of instructional strategies and technology, curriculum development, administration, and research. Graduates enter business, industry, and government as instructional facilitators, designers or developers.
Your coursework includes:
- 9 credit hours in core courses
- 6 credit hours in research core courses
- 6 credit hours in the Business and Industry Training concentration
- 12 credit hours of elective courses

You can complete up to 12 graduate hours with a non-degree graduate application. All applicants to the Master of Science degree in Occupational and Technical Studies must meet university, college, and departmental requirements. In addition, you should have prior academic work associated with this area of study.
