Kristen Mattox

My name is Kristen and I just transferred to ODU as a senior this year, I graduated from Lord Fairfax Community College with my Associate's of Arts and Science in Science. My major is Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am a single mom to an amazing little girl, a full-time student and I am currently working two part-time jobs. My experience at my community college left me wanting to help other students, particularly nontraditional ones. My ultimate goal is to work in counseling and advising at LFCC and also work in private counseling with children and young adults. I am in the process of applying to graduate schools and hoping to continue my education and eventually obtaining my PhD.
In my spare time, what little bit I have I love singing and playing sports, hiking and spending time with my friends. I’m a cancer survivor and a true believer in living life to the fullest and never having any regrets.
