Submitting Assignments
When submitting course materials for delivery to main campus, students should complete and attach a cover sheet (located in each classroom). Students should complete cover sheets accurately and completely so that the Mail Distribution Center personnel can process materials in an accurate and timely manner.
Please submit all assignments as specified by site staff. Normally, this means submitting materials directly to site staff members, however some site locations have assignment drop boxes. Once site staff receive your assignments, they will log received materials and send them to main campus on your behalf. Once received by the Mail Distribution Center on main campus, items will be logged and delivered to the department/faculty member as appropriate.
Homework Submission
Those with a TELETECHNET site:
Submit your homework to your site, i.e John Tyler, Piedmont, Yavapai, etc. The site will then send directly to ODU Distance Learning.
Those WITHOUT a TELETECHNET site, outside Virginia only:
You will be required to use the Course Assignment Cover Sheet, attach with your assignment, and mail back to:
Old Dominion University
Distance Education
127 Gornto Center- Mail Distribution
Norfolk, VA. 23529
It is STRONGLY suggested that you mail all documents certified in order to have proof that you sent your assignment. ODU will not be responsible for information lost in transit.
Individual faculty members may be willing to make arrangements to receive homework and other assignments through email attachments and faxes. Always obtain approval from faculty members before submitting assignments through these means.
