About Me

Manilow, Mom and murder! — Hey! I’m Elizabeth, but I go by Liz. I’m in my first semester at ODU - my mom’s an ODU student as well, so she’s been a huge help and very supportive since I’m new to the distance learning process…  I have what you would call a pretty diverse set of interests, an active, full life, with lots of “loves.”  I am 23 and recently engaged. I love the beach, water sports, softball, dancing, singing, photography, and hanging out with friends. Music is really where my passion lies. I love concerts, going to live shows, and I appreciate all genres. My iPod music ranges from Barry Manilow to System of a Down. I also love tattoos and piercings. I have 10 tattoos and 12 piercings. I’m actively involved in church and I love Jesus! Oh and I love Law & Order too!

I live on the Eastern Shore, a pretty diverse place. Have you seen the ESPN commercial for Tangier Is?  Did you know that ODU is at Wallops, firing off rockets?  Pretty cool, huh?  I’ll tell you all about how I juggle it all – in my blogs!

My posts:

  1. Christmas comes Calling – Already!
This is my first blog entry and I'm really excited about it! I can't believe we're already into November! This year has flown by so fast, especially summer, then again summer always goes by more quickly then I'd like. To me, the only good parts of winter are Christmas, hot chocolate and eggnog; I'm not so much a fan of the cold.
  2. Monarch Football – It’s a blast!
Have you been to an ODU Football game yet? What a scene! I had an absolute BLAST at the Monarchs Vs. VMI game this past Saturday, Nov. 13th. I had never been to the ODU campus and I'd never even been to a football game. I won a pair of free tickets to the game from the Distance Learning department – that was awesome!
  3. Holiday happenings from here...
Wow, can you guys believe we're already passed Thanksgiving and Christmas is almost here?! It's crazy, isn't it? I just mailed out my Christmas cards yesterday and I have my engagement party coming up on the 18th, such a busy time of year!
  4. Is Winter over yet?
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and new year! I definitely did! It was my first Christmas with two (future) 10 and 11 year old step-sons, so it was quite interesting, but fun! The snow we've gotten, however, not so much fun.
  5. Valentines Anyone?
Things are going good besides the winter-time blues.
